We are delighted that Westwood Health and Fitness is sponsoring Pawsfest ! Family owned and operated Westwood Health & Fitness (WHF) is one of the best health clubs in Bergen County . We are not saying that just because they are sponsoring Pawsfest. Plenty of people in the Pascack Valley will be quick to tell you that the newly renovated, three story club loaded with state of the art fitness equipment, studio classes, and racquetball courts is a great place to de-stress from life’s endless litany of stressors!
But we will note that in 2010 WHF was voted the best in Bergen County for best gym/health club in (201) Magazine.
We interviewed a few members of WHF and here is what they have to say.
Pat Shepherd,
"I chose Westwood Health and Fitness because of it's welcoming atmosphere, lack of pretension, and great classes. The club is more of a community than a gym, which is why it gives me great pleasure to know that WHF is supporting the larger community by sponsoring Pawfest. It's good to know we can rely on
organizations like Peace 4 Paws and all their generous sponsors to maintain the health and welfare of the community which includes the non-human friends we
bring into our hearts and homes."
Daria Zupa, peace4paws supporter and WHF member says, “I have been exercizing regularly at WHF since my back surgery because at WHF I have the opportunity to choose activities that support my rehabilitation and stabilization of health. They have lovely yoga and pilates instructors such as Mary Beth, Alyssa, Brenda, and Jennifer. ”

I have been doing pilates for at least ten years and it’s the best pilates around. Pilates has opened me up to other classes and now I get a well balanced workout. I do kick boxing, spinning, step aerobics, pilates, yoga, cardio, and weights. I also work full time but the schedule is so flexible I am able to fit it all into my week.

Great instruction all around. I go to a lot of classes and the instructors at WHF are great. The staff is friendly and supportive. Our situation is very unique as our gym in New Milford had to close and Westwood Health and Fitness really welcomed us and made us feel at home. It’s a good fit. I am not surprised that a gym that is so kind to people is kind to animals in need as well.
Now more than ever, the support of our generous benefactors is so greatly needed and appreciated.
There is probably a lot more good things to say about WHF and we may be adding some more info and pictures. But why not visit yourself and find out what it’s like there? Westwood health and fitness is just across the street from the Grace Episcopal Church. Check it out after Pawsfest or some other day.
On the WHF website http://www.gowestwood.com/ratesandspecials.htm and you will find the 30 Year Anniversary Special coupon for free one week trial membership and free fitness assessment session. This health club is doing something good for animals, maybe it’s time you do something good for yourself and join a good gym like Westwood Health and Fitness.
